BANK OF THE SAN JUANS PROMOTES STAFF
Bank of the San Juans has tripled in asset size over the last five years. In order to position ourselves for the anticipated future growth, the bank's Board of Directors approved the implementation of corporate re-structuring in the areas of training and accounting. As a result, the following employees have been promoted:
Angelia Cook has been promoted from Vice President and North Main Branch Manager to Vice President, Director of Training and Development, and will coordinate all aspects of employee training and development for all three bank branches.
Dirk Patterson, previously the North Main Branch Loan Officer, is now Vice President and North Main Branch Manager. Patterson has been with the bank since June 2002.
Ray Takala advanced from Pagosa Springs Branch Loan Officer to President of the Pagosa Springs Branch. Takala was President of the Mancos Valley Bank prior to joining the Bank of the San Juans in January of this year and has more than 30 years of business and agricultural lending experience.
Elsa Lucero has been promoted to Corporate Accounting Senior Vice President and Cashier. Lucero helped to open the Pagosa Springs Branch in 1999, and has more than 22 years of banking experience.
Jennette Martinez is moving from Pagosa Springs Branch Manager to Corporate Accounting Vice President and Assistant Cashier. Martinez also helped to open the Pagosa Springs Branch in 1999, and has more than 22 years of banking experience.
Bank of the San Juans is located at 144 East 8th Street and 1710 North Main Avenue in Durango and 305 Hot Springs Blvd. in Pagosa Springs.
