Bank of the San Juans Holds "Mock-Raiser" for United Way
Employees and customers vote for their favorite Halloween costume idea for Art Chase, President and CEO.
Durango, CO: Bank of the San Juans, like many other local businesses, is getting creative in their fundraising ideas for the annual United Way campaign. This year Art Chase, President and CEO of Bank of the San Juans, went on vacation the week before Halloween and plans to return on October 31st. Employees thought it would be a good idea to have his costume all ready for him upon his return. During the day on Wednesday, employees paid $10 to get their costume idea on the list. During the day on Thursday and Friday, customers and employees are being encouraged to cast their vote for the best idea. The list includes such silly ideas as a French Maid, Pink Bunny Rabbit, KISS Band Member, Ballerina, Cat Woman and Marge Simpson.
"We've always supported the United Way mission," says Bank of the San Juans VP Marketing Director, Angie Beach. "Giving to the Communities we Serve is one of the banks core-values and since we are 'ONE BIG HAPPY LITTLE BANK' we like to have fun with it."
The bank president does have an out option if he doesn't want to wear the pink tights. If he matches the total amount raised he can make Sr. VP, John Stolfa don the outfit.
